GREEN THERAPY

To my big disarray, the weather, here in Switzerland, doesn't want to get better at all. Since weeks, it is just disgusting and my craving for sun is growing bigger each day...

We still have to get wet through thanks to the torrential daily showers which are hitting Europe, to wear our coats/jackets since it's quite fresh and to get the blues because the sky refuses to let the sunshine irradiate us with it's healing rays. How horrible!

In order to enlighten your day, I thought that a few flower and plant pictures (click on photos to enlarge) might help you feel a little more joyful (please note that the pictures were taken a few weeks/months ago)...

  3. En effet, la Suisse ne se montre pas sous son meilleur jour. Il pleut des trombes en ce moment et ça ne semble pas vouloir s'arrêter... C'est quand l'été, déjà ?

  7. Your pictures are spring like even if the weather is not! We too, have been having a cooler than normal spring. In our area, we really need the rain as our water tables are low. We are fortunate to get sunny breaks almost every day there. Here, in the Vancouver area and the area we call The Fraser Valley, when it rains it socks in and rains and rains. Ugh. Not nice. We are so grateful to live up in the Cariboo now, and wonder how we ever lived down in this soup! Currently we are in Vancouver and it is raining steady ... but heading back home Tuesday.

  17. Rosa,
Is it typical that the weather is still gloomy in this time on year in Switzerland? Here in CA still a bit cold at night, which is unusual.

Your photos sure cheer me up...., what kind of plant is the last photo?

  18. Like Cath3 says, those of us in Paris empathize! It's cold and gray here too. I'm NOT happy this spring. But thank you for your cheerful photos!

  21. Your flowers are lovely. I especially love the first buds with the leaf popping through. Yes! I had rain on my days in Paris. Yuk! But with the rain comes lovely flowers so we will just have to wait. It is soooo hot here! Been in the 90s (ƒ) all of last week! It's almost 100 in DC! Horrible!!
